– Hey guys, today I’m gonna be sharing with you
some of the tips on how to stay healthy.
Now I’m not gonna be sharing the generic ones
of eating healthy and exercising
because I’m sure you already know that.
So instead I’m sharing with you my three top tips
on how to stay healthy, and remember to check out
the quiz below in the description box
to find out the best diet and training for you.

Now let’s just jump straight into it
with the top number one tip.
Find little ways to stay active throughout the day.
Now there are a few ways
in which you can stay active throughout your day,
such as walking on your lunch break,
taking the stairs, doing squats or calf raises
even while you’re brushing your teeth or making breakfast.
Whatever you choose to do, smart movements like walking
or taking the stairs will help to keep you active,
improve your health, and keep your brain sharp.
I try and do a walk every single day
to get the blood pumping and to give myself some fresh air,
especially during the work week,
and I notice a huge improvement
in my energy levels, focus and mood.
Start doing this today, and you will notice
that it will become a habit and help you stay healthy.
Moving on to tip number two, get enough sleep.
So we all know that sleep is super important,
and if you do not get enough sleep
you will feel low on energy,
and not ready to tackle the day ahead of you.
It can mess up your willpower and motivation
for the day ahead, and also throw off your hormones,
which can affect your weight.
A recent poll found that 40% of Americans
get six hours of sleep or less per night,
and 50 million to 70 million adults in the U.S.
have a chronic sleep disorder.
Shocking, right?
So to help you catch around seven to nine hours of sleep
a night, avoid drinking caffeine too close to bed,
that does include a herbal tea as well.
Try not to drink and eat right before bed as well,
because your body will be digesting the food
which can also affect your sleep.
And finally, make sure to come off your phone
or your laptops an hour or so before you go to bed.
If you do use a laptop before you sleep,
use an app called f.lux, which will put a red light
on top of your screen to block out the blue light at night.

And finally, tip number three, drink your water!
And I really mean drink lots of water.
I aim to drink around three liters of water a day,
and I always find it best to carry a water bottle with me.
This ensures that I can actually track
how much water I am consuming.
Staying hydrated keeps our bodies healthy
down to a cellular level, and it also helps
to keep us from overeating.
See, often at times we can mistake thirst for hunger.
Along with that, if we do not drink enough water,
we get dehydrated, and dehydration can lead to feelings
of hunger, headaches, and a lack of energy.

Repair My Mind

hi I’m Hannah I’m a 23 year old British
Muslim currently studying in mental
health nursing and I’m hormones away
from qualifying as a mental health nurse
and if you haven’t come across my
YouTube page before I created a video in
2015 discussing mental health within the
Asian community if you’ve got 14 minutes
to spare please watch it I look very
different I’m wearing a hijab my views
are different yet the same to what they
are now I wanted to create a platform on
mental health for quite a long time I
just never kind of figured it out and I
do think I’ve kind of figured it out I’m
still dabbling I’m still doing bits and
bobs but I’m getting there so I’d really
appreciate everybody’s support I’m
currently trying to grow my Instagram
page which is called at repair my mind I
used to have a personal account which
was at Hana Muller but that’s currently
deactivated as I didn’t believe in its
purpose some of these reasons can be
found on my repair my mind Instagram
account and I’m hoping to create a lot
more content of my perceptions of what
mental health is a bit of background I
went to therapy a couple of months ago
from Mae for 10 weeks and that was kind
of like a huge revelation for me where I
was struggling even as a mental health
professional student mental health nurse
we all have our struggles but I was
struggling with my emotions or
struggling with my mind was crying all
the time I couldn’t do have being angry
I was always angry I was always
frustrated and I was being emotionally
reactive where anybody would just say
something I would be very snappy and
even with my patients at work and on
placement I
Villa rolling my eyes he wasn’t happy
unintentionally because I would question
myself why did I say that why did I do
that why did I act this way hence why I
put myself forward because I couldn’t
continue living my life in that way and
their whole mental health label has been
growing on me in a completely different
light to what we’ve been educated what
we’ve been told what we’ve been brought
up in and this is just from my personal
view but I know I come from a very small
city in the northwest of England so I
know quite a lot of our perceptions of
what mental health is is very similar
here however now that I’ve been growing
my platform on Instagram I’ve been
learning I’ve been discussing with a lot
of professionals a lot of more holistic
psychology psychological people that are
much very into the mind body and soul
the ego our inner child which I will
discuss further on if you keep following
me on my channel but I do want to reach
this to those who were like me
struggling them just a typical Asian
girl typical Muslim girl just kind of
growing up and dealing with mental
health problems but I didn’t even know
there were mental health problems and
obviously reach anybody else
young young adults teenagers older
